cheapo 30 quid sump is made of pressed tin. be very careful when doing up the bolts as it deforms easily id even go as far as to say i would fit the cork gasket you can get - even though the original did not have this as was just put on with sealant.
- ive been here.
the original is much thicker and robust/tollerant to fitting.

Buy a sump from a scrap yard .... I had one for another make ( Rover ) a few months back for a fiver.
Alternatively braze it or use tin-mans solder ( not the electrical stuff ) ..... I've used both methods years ago when skint and it does work !

With a pinhole, a self tapping screw works wonders as a temporary fix
