Hey just thought I'd show everyone the machines I work on (other than my car) and if anyone else works on a machine other than cars could also post up what they do

I am a bowling technician and these are our machines called AMF 8290

Cool pics. Always wondered what went on behind the scenes. Afraid I didn't work on machines as such, just constructed organic molecules from scratch. No pics of those beasties aside from spectroscopic work.

Looks like fun Lliam hope you don't get too many intermittent faults though.
A lot of people wonder how they work. They are at least 12 years old. They've been good lately not had to do many faults. I look after and fix 15 of 30 lanes but watch over the other 15 whilst on shift as it's only 1 tech on a shift

Do these machines control the balls coming back and the operations at the pins end?

How much does a bowling machine set these companies back?

Heres a quick video of the 8290

Yes they control the ball coming back. I havn't got a picture of the ball lift properly but belts lifts it up above the machine and gravity sends it back then belts pull it back above ground

What do you mean by operations pins end? Putting a set down and respotting them?

I'm not sure on prices for a whole machine. We've had ours 13 years in may
