Uprated rear shockers?
#1
Hello peeps.

Looking for uprated shockers for the rear of my Mk1 Multispace. Had a look around and there doesn't appear to be much available!
The rear axle looks simular to a Peugeot 405 to me, will 405 shockers fit?

Cheers.

Hi Multi,
I've been thinking of doing the same thing - also on a Mk1 multisp. Was advised that doing the rear only might give me a 'wallowing nose' effect. It was suggested that I wait until I can afford front as well as rear. This is only hearsay, of course - not expertise on my part. I'd also be interested in comments and suggestions!

There isnt a lot about. The rear beam is the same as the 405 / Citroen Picasso but ull find that the dampers arnt Any better . Only real thing to do is upgrade the rear beam ( 405 Mi 16) but these are like rocking horse s**t (I've been looking) or get good quality gas replacemts instead of oil. This made a big difference for me.

I've just put bilstein b4 gas shocks on my 56 plate berlingo van this morning. Just done a 50 mile trip and can't feel any difference.
I wish I had gone for the gaz adjustable gas shocks, same price as the bilstein but take 4 weeks to be made.
Cheers Jay
