[Warning Light] Engine diagnosis warning lamp
#1
Hello! I have a berlingo 2006 1.6 Hdi. Today I went for lets say 5 miles driving. I parked the van infront my house. After about an hour I went to start mt van. I noticed that the engine diagnosis warning lamp remained lit. Any help please?

Were there any other symptoms? Have you driven the van when the light has been on?

Only one way to find out the fault and that's to have the fault code read from the ecu.

Otherwise it's a guessing game and very deep pockets.

Get a OBD2 reader for your phone or laptap - bluetooth, quick and simple.

Discussed here: http://www.berlingoforum.co.uk/showthrea...hlight=obd

I purchased this one for my 1.6Hdi from Amazon

Yes - really useful. There are some good phone apps - Torque Pro is really good.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...rque&hl=en

But even for reseting and reading alerts the free sodtware which comes with it will do the job.

Hi Kevin

This is for Android based phones, however there are many more if you search for OBD2 software. The OBD2 bluetooth device from Amazon comes with a CD with free software for PC and phones. I have tried a few of these and they are relatively ok - not as feature rich and graphical as Torque Pro but will read error codes etc

If you get a bluetooth device then you will require bluetooth on the PC - or buy a USB bluetooth device - they go for about £1
