Anyone done an Oil & Filter change recently, if so how much oil did you use?
According to what I've read, the official overall capacity is 4.5L including a filter but after pouring 5L in my dash display only has 2 full sections, meanwhile the dipstick is past the top marker. I did read on another forum that 5.5L may be needed, but am reluctant to overfill.
Thanks

I think i would go with the dipstick reading - so long as you are on a flat level surface

Yeah, the dipstick seems to be the best option for future reference. After sitting for a while, the dash display now says full! The dipstick level is too high after 5L so I'll let some out and use it for top-up.

probably a float valve in the sump that gives the electronic reading - might be stuck closed with some gunk in it perhaps?

Alloy or steel sump makes a difference 4.5ltr steel 4.2ltr aluminium sump. From min to max is 1.5ltr difference. Ours is an aluminum sump and it reads full on the dipstick with 4.5ltr so I wouldn't worry about a bit of overfill.
So where does this bit go then ?
