What model has what?
#1
Hi, I am curently looking to buy a Berlingo, probably a 1.9D.

But I am a bit confused as to what model is what.

Can anybody help me.
Such as what are the differences in the models. ie. Desire or Forte.

Just when I thought I new what I wanted, I have started noticing the model with the sky lights and roof rack. Which looks very nice.

Can any one out there give me a break down as to all the models please.

Many thanks,

From Ferrous wheel.

I don't know the models but sure someone will be along soon to help you. I have a 1.9D forte and it's got no air con/ modutop/ arm rests/ chair trays nothing, so I believe mine is basic

The Forte is the basic model, the Desire has a few more bits, 15inch wheels, better seats, cd player etc. The glass roof modutop, alloy wheels & aircon were optional on both models.

Are the Forte and Desire specs the same across engines?

The Desire has the following features (which are missing on the Forte):

*Modutop (including glass roof panels, storage bins and integrated roof bars)
*Front folding armrests
*Aircraft style tables on the back of the front seats for rear passengers
*Modubox in the boot
*Front fog lights
*CD player instead of cassette

One or two options were only available on Desire models. The electric retractable sunroof was only available as on option on Forte models.

The 1.4 petrol engine was not available with Desire spec.

From 2005, 1.6 HDi 92 and 1.6 16v petrol models came with 15" while the other engines came with 14" wheels - irrespective of whether the car was Desire or Forte.

I don't know what the situation was from 2002 to 2005, but I think it is possible that all vehicles had 14" wheels as standard. What I do know is that for those years 15" alloys were available as an option on cars with the 2.0 HDi and 1.6 16v petrol models.

The 1.9 diesel engine (& the 2.0 HDi engine) went out of production in about 2005.

(Note: This post refers to the Mk 2 Berlingo.)

There are a couple of optional extras to look out for as well such as air conditioning and stability control.

I have got a feeling that the tables on the seat back were and option known as the "Family Pack"

It would be good to find an original brochure and price list from somewhere to post up for reference.

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

I have one from 2004 - how would I do this? Would scanning it work?

Let me know the best way and I'll try to do it tomorrow - on Nights this week

Stability control was only available as an option on the 2.0 HDi engine, the 1.6 16v petrol engine and the 1.6 HDi 92 engine. After 2005 (at least) it was only available on Desire trim cars.

They were part of the "Comfort Pack" which consisted of front folding armrests, aircraft-style tables and Modubox
