Er, I don't own the car yet, and was hoping to get some figures from others.

I dont own a Petrol either but I would imagine low 30`s.
Go for a Diesel much more economical and more power.

I have put a deposit down on a 1.4 petrol which I'll collect next week. I only got 28 (ish) mpg in my previous car, so the same or over is great.

Car arrived yet?

Around town you should better 10 litres per hundred km, or that previous 28MPG. It's a fairly primitive motor though.
