Which Tyres
#11
This is the problem with tyre choice.
It is all a compromise.
You will never find a tyre that is good in all conditions, long lasting, quiet, wet grip, dry grip, snow, soft ride, firm ride, etc, etc, etc.
The construction, compound and tread pattern will never do all things for you.
How many members have recommended winter tyres? But change them when weather improves....
How many sets do you want to buy??
Bet it's just one!
We should all drive to the conditions of the road and the weather; not to the limits of the tyre.

No one has mentioned Goodyear...
Been on the website. Try inputting a Berlingo and see which tyre they recommend? They don't!
If you input by size they come up with a Goodyear DuraGrip.

Think Charles Goodyear, the inventor of tyres (well, vulcanised rubber) would be turning in his grave.
This tyre does get some very good reviews and prices on the web are less than £45 a corner.
Worth considering?
You decide...

Oi, Womble.
You need some decent off-road rubber when traversing Wimbledon Common.
All that underground, overground malarkey.
Need some grip and possibly a diff-lock.
Be careful out there....

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

I stuck a set of Hankook Optimo 4S on our Berlingo a few months ago. An 'all season' tyre which got top marks in some German tyre test, and ended up being c.£52 per corner (fitted).

Been fab so far, great and huge improvement on the Firestones which they replaced. Quiet, grippy over the winter and in rain / slush etc. will have to wait and see how they fare over the coming summer months regarding wear and so on of course...

Fronts on mine are Uniroyal XL things.. 50 quid a corner fitted from the local tyre depot. The rears are 1 Conti (I think) and a Pirelli - both old, slightly crusty and ideally in need of replacement before too long..

I have michelin energy on all 4 corners. Wearing well, noise is ok and grip good. No problems getting stuck in the winter. Can't remember what I paid but got a very good deal at Costco. Much better than the hing hong no grip specials It had when I got it.
