-5 this morning, van started easier than it normally does, glowplug light came on for about 3 seconds so gave it three or four goes at warming them. Don't know if the glowplugs helped!!
Certainly started faster though, hope it's sorted it! I'll try it again this evening as it's not getting used all day.

i know this might just be me! but ive got a funny feeling ive might have over tightened the housing locking ring, as i was told in my local gsf that they are only supposed to be hand tight, ive been tightening mine with a hammer and screwdriver!!! will finf out tomorrow weather permitting!!!

changed the filter and rubber seal, still have air!!! can anyone tell me how the system bleed's air out? is it done automatically or do i have to do it manually?

Im still majorly sucked off with this air leak, just spent 100 quid on a new fiter housing and pipe to the pump, as its got to the stage where the van is stalling on pulloff on a regular basis!!! hope this does the trick..
