berlingo with smokey issues
#1
I have a 2004 1.9 straight d berlingo, when driving along there is no smoke but once I put the foot down it starts to smoke rather heavily until I lay off. I plugged it in to a friends diagnostics and a fault came up ''injector pump module fault'' anyone seen or heard of this before? any help would be greatly appreciated. paul

the 1.9s from about 2001/2 onwards have a electronically controlled pump, its still a mechanically driven pump . The WJY engines have a control thingy mounted on the fuel injection pump.

Check the inlet flap in the front of the manifold, these can fail , or the vac system stops working correctly & shuts the air off to the engine.
