cooling fan

Hi guys, iv a 1.4 petrol berlingo, in the hot weather she runs fine until traffic queues when she starts to get hot , iv changed the thermostat, relay and the green sender by the thermostat housing , iv been told it runs thro the ecu and have been told theres a bypass to make my fan run ...Anybody help please .... Big Grin

When you say hot, what temp does your gauge read?

hi , the haines manual is no good as it dont tell you that some models only have 1 relay mounted on the fan cover and you have to pull the engine fuse box apart to get at the fuses hidden under the top fuses. I found 1 of the hiden fuse was blown. ..Uuuhh no crap in water or in oil and the light only flickered a couple of times but i did have to top up the water.... lets hope shes ok ................. thanks

I was asking about cooling fan last week. Someone replied that on the 1.6HDi they only kick in when it gets very hot. Apparantly Citroën made them like that to keep noise levels down

A 1.4 getting hot?

1.6hdi kick in around 98 degrees the same as any other pug...
