We need to know precisely which model you have....diesel or petrol, turbo or not, 1.4; 1.6; 1.9; 2.0 litre?
FWIW the relevant fuse on a 2006 1.6 HDi is Fuse 12 (Green 30 amp. ) on the BSI board. (Under the steering wheel.)
The Older I get the Better I Was!  Cool

On my 1999 1.4 the manual lists F10 and F11 (Driver's side and passenger side respectively) and 20A fuses.

Find your manual and check what it says.
Then find a voltmeter, switch on the ignition and measure if there's 12V at the fuse(s).
