This is the main engine relay that is not being energised.
With battery disconnected (so no damage to electronics etc) check the connector on the relay unit and also the connector 48MR (should be a brown clip, largest of the 3) on the engine ecu. Look for corrosion/damage etc. then check continuity of wire 1233. This is pin 10 on the relay and pin F1 of the ecu connector.
As a matter of precaution check the ecu earth, MC11.
Also check the two connections IC02A & IC02B. These are just below the engine ecu on the engine diagram.
What kind of meter are you using?
Let us know what you find.

Especially check the two round connectors as I've had some of these corrode before.

Ok, no worries. This is the line which goes to the inertia switch which the siemens ecu doesn't require. So check that pin 7 (1206a)on the relay unit plug has continuity to plug 48MR pin H1 (1206b) on the ecu. Again check the conectors as last post.

Ok. Seeing that I can't find another circuit diagram for your van with out the inertia switch (can find one without the petrol pump) and have also checked the partner range as well. Are you 100% sure that there is no inertia switch located by the arrow or, has there been evidence of one and the connector (3 way, black) has been shorted out?
When you first put the ignition on does the key symbol on the dash illuminate and then go out?
Everything seems to tie up apart from the inertia switch.Confusedcratch:

yes key symbol goes out have looked and no sign of cut off
switch or wiring any where near that location only thing there
is a unit with vacum pipes on it.also vehicle is a multi space
dont know if that makes a difference.

I beg your pardon somebody had loosend cut off switch and it
was hanging loose now have put bolt in back on inner wing
tried pushing button in but nothing still the same

If you can get on the terminal H1 of the the 48 pin measure what's coming out of this with every thing connected and you are turning the engine over. This will be a negative signal so again pos. probe on battery positive. Let us know what you find.

Also there is 3 wires to cut off switch i have bridged the 2 end ones
left the center wire free is this correct or does the center need to be connected.
