Do you mean the rubber doughnut? If so,I apply fairy liquid(other brands available) to the mount & carefully lever it over with a flat lever/screwdriver.Confusedalut::thumbsup:

Use lots of dishwashing liquid...
The stuff is the only reasonably 'clean' way of getting the mounts onto the hooks.

Do you have access to a proper garage with a high lift or a pit?
If not, get yourself one of those 6wheeled boards to lie down on.

The () clamps...
It may be tempting to place one above the pipe and the other under.
(Makes it easy to tighten them up)
Don't...
They need to be mounted vertically with one on each side, and a screw on top and bottom. That way, water can't collect inside the clamps.
(you don't want rust there... )

thanks for your reply ron.
the rubber on the exhaust is more of an oval shape with 4 holes in it one for the exhaust bracket one for the chassis bracket the other two i thought were maybe for leverage.

The other two holes are to allow the mounting to flex without failure.

WD40 works as a lube but it dries quick so may need another squirt if you work slowly.
