Hello
Just brought a Blue 03 Multi-space Forte with genuine low mileage locally & judging by a lot of examples I have seen over the last few weeks I would hope to get plenty more miles out of it yet.
Just browsing Forums for some advice on Handbrake adjustment.

Hi & welcome. Before you adjust the cable,if you have more than 5or6 notches,Remove the rear drums & make sure all is free & clean.Manually adjust 2 or 3 notches at a time, refitting the drum each time to check you haven't overdone it.Aim for light scuffing sound with NO drag on drum.
Before doing the other side, check the handbrake has not tightened up to less than 5 notches, this will give you enough slack to do the other side.
When all is done adj H/brake to 4-6 notches.Good luck & let us know how it goes.PS remove wear ridge from drums otherwise you will not get full adjustment.
