locating a Berlingo Crew Van
#1
I live in the Greater Manchester area and am seriously interested in buying a Crew Van. We want to use it for short camping trips, so need to be sure we could fit three bikes in the back and it would have to be long enough for two (short 5ft 7) people to sleep in occasionally.
No Citroen dealer within 100 miles appears to have one in the showroom and will not get one unless we commit to buying.
Do any forum members have one of these vehicles we could have a look at - so we can be sure it is the right vehicle for our needs.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.

Have never seen a new crew cab in the flesh so to speak..... thought a dealer somewhere would have the size specifications for you?

Sorry can't help really..... maybe someone out there has one?? Don't know if they were that popular due to only the X level of trim available??

Good luck hunting thoughSmile

The crew van is just the basic car vtr model without rearmost side windows & has double rear doors instead of tailgate. I would guess it is special order only. The seating & interior space is no different to any of the car models. Look at any Berlingo car to see if the size is ok for you & then order the crew van if you want.

I'm guessing resale value would be poor compared with car models as there is little demand in the UK for small crew vans. Most crew vans are Transit size. I would also check on insurance cost compared with car version as well.

No I didn't have any luck locating one.
I have the full spec from Citroen website but am not willing to part with a substantial amount of money without seeing one 'in the flesh'.
Thanks anyway
