Welcome to the forum. My string trimmer has the same problem. Someone will be along with some suggestions. Again, welcome.

If it´s a 1.9 then it won´t be an HDI, so won´t have a turbo.
I had the same problem last Tuesday. The car had gone into "limp home" mode, and I had fault P0402 logged in the ECU. I cleared the fault and the car went back to normal.
If yours is the same, there could be any number of reasons that your car has gone into "limp home" mode, so it might be an idea to get it checked out by someone with the correct diagnostic kit.
