Welcome along mate. Do you have the van right? If so, should expect the noise with that empty backend without seats/carpets to mute that noise!

My last job before illness intervened was at a HGV/Commercial Vehicle dealership, office based, but I've plenty of previous experience on the spanners as a lad many years ago.

to all my new berlingo owner chums, the road noise i mentioned is probably my imagination as i have been driving around in volvos for the last 20 yrs anyway i needed something to cart my grandson and all his extras around in so i bought a multispace as i had always fancied one of these for their versatility and working within the transport industry where we have 4 berlingo vans as runarounds that have proved trouble free i thought this should prove a prudent purchase, anyway if i have problems citroen can sort them out as i got a 12 month warranty with it.

Welcome to the forum Patsom. Good luck with the Berlingo mate, you are among friends! My opinion on road noise is, get a loud stereo to blast out radio 2

Welcome to the forum!
I don't know about this road noise business. I've just had my 1.6 HDi for four months (it's 56 reg), and the road noise is no worse than the old 1.6 petrol (02 reg) I had before it! Indeed, there's less road noise than there is with my Ford Ka. I've no experience driving Volvos - so that must be your problem!
