If it's ONLY in the morning,it's probably the shoes/drums glazed.Clean all dust & crud(love that word) from drums/shoes.Make sure H/Brake & cyls are free,pivots are known to sieze.Deglaze drums & shoes with emery paper,linings should appear matt after cleaning.Good luck.

Have been having the same issue with the rear left wheel, will give it a go, thanks for all the advice

The other thing on earlier cars, at least (M49/59) is the "U" bent brake hose to the rear trailing arm is not an ideal situation. Combined with commonly low loads on a biased distribution, the rears barely get any fluid through them and often aren't bled either.

I've seen more of these "U" hoses fail by internal blockage (which doesn't allow pressure return very readily after braking) than any other PSA position brake hose.

I am going to try and replace the rear shoes tomorrow so thanks for the info in this post

hi, just signed up to find out how easy it is to change the rear shoes on my berlingo, front was very easy, but not done rear brakes for years, lack of money means have a go hero. i notice one of you have uploaded a pdf, but it said i had to post first, best wishes
