rear wiper motor removal

how in damnation do you remove it?

it appears to be held on with 3 disc like items

They are large pop rivets that you'll need to drill out.

well thats a 1st, why would you put rivets on something liable to be changed at a future date?

Seem to do that with quite a lot of things !!!!...... Front window motors etc use this method of fixing too....

so im guessing ur just use nuts and bolt as a replacement?

went to my local scrappies today, they only have 2 multispaces rest are vans, both tailgates have gone, gits!

How do you replace these rivets? they are cheap from Citroen but too large for any standard rivet gun. Citroen refused to fit a secondhand motor which is what needs to happen.

Took my wiper assembly out today. The wiper had stopped in furthest position. Easy to drill out the rivots. Expecting refitting to be more of a chore however.

BTW why are you changing yours? I have opened mine up, freed up the mechanism and it appears to be working again. Might be worth a look inside. I will be adding a how-to article on the rear wiper as I couldn't find any pics of what it looked like inside.
