I can only suggest you check the heater flap control is working,ie the air is going where the control says is is.Another option is a coolant leak in the heater matrix blowing damp air onto the screen.Confusedcratch:

I would also check its not on recirculating (although I don't think you can do that in the berlingo). I did it in another car I had though, hence why I suggested it.

You can do it in the MK2. Turning the fan blower control to the left from "12 0' Clock" makes it recirculate, turning it right brings in fresh air from outside.

Check the inlet isn't blocked with crud and/or leaves.

" Another option is a coolant leak in the heater matrix blowing damp air onto the screen".

I had this happen on a transit, it would only clear a small part of the screen and left a coolant deposit which took a hell of a cleaning to get off.

This is one of the reasons I like Air Con as it dries the air before pumping it out.

Very hand on cold damp mornings before the heater has warmed up

when i gave the screen a good wash and started the (cold) engine it did initially clear most of the screen - but now it doesn't :brickwall:
