I was going over my car today, and found this wire with blue socket under the left front fender /wing
What is this for?

Quite possibly for an alarm sensor or froglights.

Varg, our man was talking about the Ebay seller whose reflection was shown in a mirror next to the item she was selling (a yellow dress) - I think because he could see your reflection in the car's paint.
