I have a Berlingo M-S Forte 92, 2006 with 182,000 on the clock. I have had the injector seals replaced as there was a smell of diesel in the car. They are leaking again after a few weeks. The garage tells me it is a terminal fault due to the age of the car the housing for the seals has worn and it is not viable to replace them. I love my Berlingo and don't want to scrap it, is this really the end of the line, can't it be repaired?
Thanks for your comments
The seat of the injector housings can be re-cut by an engineering company or even a decent garage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ex98PBa5l0 the attached clip shows a cutting tool in use. If the seats were knackered due to blow by I would imagine there would be loads of spare meat to re-cut quite bad damage.
I would try a different garage, perhaps one who specialises in bigger commercials or taxis.
I would use another garage if I was you.

At only eight years old it is more than viable especially as the seals only cost a couple of quid.

Makes me wonder if they are torquing them up correctly.
We always recut the seal faces, the new seals will almost certainly not work if they haven't, I would get another opinion.
