Honestly! The standard horn on this car would do justice to a milk float!
Horns are a warning device and should be LOUD!!!

Does the standard horn work from a relay and if it does what is the current rating?
If it isn't enough to handle a 20A load then I will have to use a secondary relay and take a fused supply straight from the battery.
I want to fit a Stebel Nautilus as I have one on my bike and it wakes the dead!

For ease of installation etc, I wired mine via a seperate relay
I got a twin airhorn kit from halfords

I'm not in the UK. Could you please post a link to the model you got and also let me know where you mounted it? I'm really tired of the wimpy stock horn. I want an attention getter.

Holdyerhorses!!
I just bought the new Ring/Stebel Nautilus which Hellfrauds now stock and is not yet on their website. Looks identical to this:

I have the compact version on my bike and it's very loud...

Now I've discovered that the horn is hidden behind the front bumper so I'll have to find the fusebox end of the wires, isolate the original unit and mount the new horns elsewhere....the large tag on the battery tray looks suitable.Confusedcratch:

Thank you guys. I'll have a look see.

Mine sounds like something of a Tug Boat Fog Horn crossed with a Noddy Car Horn at the moment.

Not good, it's supposed to make an impact not people laugh.

You'll still have to put a relay in for that one, not sure which one is loudest but mine is more impressive looking Tongue
