Gday,
my wife's 2004 Berlingo 2.0HDi Enterprise appears to have packed the turbo in - there was a strange rattle noise followed by the engine revving out to over 4000rpm, even with the ignition immediately off... it almost drained the sump completely. I've been told that this is most likely a turbo oil seal and that I can forget about reparing it, as well as pray that it hasn't done any other engine damage...
I have searched the forum and can't find any details/advice on turbo compatibility - ie are all turbos from the 2.0HDi engine family compatible/interchangable?
Reason is there are a good number on Fleabay from 2.0HDi Xsaras and various Peugeot variants - I obviously don't want to make a cock-up and buy something that won't fit.
Has anybody ever come across this or knows somebody who has?
