hey guys, own a 1900d berlingo 04, jus want to know how much mpg should be i been doing? im currently doin 50 to £10 worth of deisel, look forward to hearing off you Smile

and if i am using to much fuel are there any comon problems thats i should be looking at?
You should be getting around 40 mpg.
How are you managing to work out '50 to £10' dosen't sound very scientific!
If 50 miles to £10 diesel is accurate, assuming diesel was £1.45/litre then £10 buys 6.9 litres, which is 1.52 gallons - giving 32.89mpg. I would have expected a bit more than that.

1.45 a litre, that would be nice, 1.48 a litre today at my caring sharing supermarket where every little helps! I would say your mpg is definately lacking.

So, we are waiting to find out how much you pay for diesel before we can be sure you are using too much fuel.

In terms of common problems - the most common problems are 1) driving style, and 2) under-inflated tyres.

And poor maintenance/service history.
sorry guys, been in im paying £1.46 a litre, i try to drive a economical as i can
worked out my mpg by zeroing the clock wen the light goes on then putting fuel in, then seeing how many miles ive done wen the light is back on, i said 50 but it is between 48-52 per £10 of fuel

I cannot compare directly but it sounds heavy-my old c15 with a 1.9 did 55 mpg,my 07 Berlingo with a 1.6hdi did 58,and my 10 plate L1 did 58 to 62 depending on how far away a service was.
