Hi All, very handy info on the various threads. I live near Durban, KZN, South Africa.:wave: Anyhow, have had my Van (L1 1.6i petrol) for 18 months now, enjoying it, just wish i could get a few more HP (mine gives 90HP / 66kw):S
I have managed to 'hack' the cd/radio unit (RD4) to play my ipod through the aux1 channel as most of our local radio stations don't cover the area's i travel to. Looking forward to hearing more about mods & idea's for the Van
(including those stuuuuupid 'cup / bottle' holders
)

Hi Chris, apologies for loooong delay - This is how i proceeded: I bought a spare harness from a scrap dealer, and salvaged the plug. I then spliced a standard audio cable to it, and had a "friendly" Auto electrician plug his "Proxia" software to the Van. He then enabled "Aux 1" on the car / radio. I plug in my old iPhone & presto, and have awesome audio. Some of the Radios installed (mine is a Continental - Czech Repl) do not have the circuit for the Aux 1, so you may have to find one & have it VIN coded by a friendly Sparky (of if you have the software....) The wiring was simple to work out, i am sure you have all the diagrams already) If not. PM me and i'll send you all the links & info that i have.
An even easier & more high-tech solution would be something like this that is my current project on my Van:
