Central locking on a multipack forte - Azmondo - 13-01-2013 Hello everyone I have recently bought a 2002 multispace 1.9D forte and wondered if there was any way you could upgrade it to central locking? Any help would be appreciated RE: Central locking on a multipack forte - Romahomepete - 13-01-2013 Buy an after market kit from ebay - we did when our doorlocks went funny. Cost about £25 and quite easy to fit. Peter RE: Central locking on a multipack forte - BerlingoHDI - 13-01-2013 I bought something like this once for an old fiesta, was pretty simple to install if you got basic knowledge http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNIVERSAL-REMOTE-KEYLESS-CENTRAL-DOOR-LOCKING-KIT-WE-/360560719062?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item53f317f4d6 RE: Central locking on a multipack forte - ffrenchie - 13-01-2013 It already has central locking doesn't it, have you not got the plip key ? You need to get the code which originally came with it to get one programmed but they are not cheap. RE: Central locking on a multipack forte - crickleymal - 13-01-2013 That's what I thought. Is there any car after about 1990 which doesn't have central locking? Perhaps a BSI reset is required? I should think there is plenty of cars after 1990 that dont have central locking, to name a few which i have owned are Ford Fiesta (N reg) Ford Fiesta(T reg), Citroen AX (P reg), Citroen Saxo (V reg) RE: Central locking on a multipack forte - Ol'Jeffers - 13-01-2013 The central locking, if your car has it, should also activate when the driver's door is manually locked/unlocked. RE: Central locking on a multipack forte - Azmondo - 13-01-2013 Thanks for the feedback no my model has no central locking at all but the guy I bought it off said you just have to buy one motor to convert it to central locking RE: Central locking on a multipack forte - Ol'Jeffers - 13-01-2013 I think he was probably telling fibs!! RE: Central locking on a multipack forte - Mike - 13-01-2013 I have a 2003 and it has central locking. |
