Rear end low?!? - dec913scuba - 21-05-2013

The near side rear is sitting very low, a couple of friends at work have suggested a couple of things..... any ideas from you guys who may have had the same issue?

Possibly, a broken torsion bar.

Bugger
Is this going to be an expensive one!

Usually, especially with UK rust locking the torsion bar in place. Check the breakers; see if you can pick up a whole beam for £100 or so with 90 days' warranty.

A rebuilt exchange beam is £350+ and you may not get a full core credit with a broken bar in it.

Disaster always has a sense of occasion.

The damage appeared after having been forced on to a large pothole on the road up from me that the council have been supposed to be repairing and resurfacing since October last year, they came and did the footpaths and the curbs, and made a bugger mess of the road.
So I've emailed the council to make a compensation claim from them, as they where aware of the problem and not resolved it. Worth a try.[attachment=1084]

This is the best exchange service that I could find:

http://www.fraserbrowneng.co.uk/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=61&product_id=52

Good reviews too.
