Mobile Phone Cradle Help - andrea - 10-07-2013

Hi there

Just wondering if anyone had any advice on this (it's a bit of an odd one, lol) ...

Our company has recently purchased a Citroen Berlingo Multispace Desire XTR on a 62 plate. In our previous MK2 Berlingo, there was space on the dashboard to mount a Blackberry cradle with integrated charger.

The new dashboard looks like this:

Which is a bit of a problem because it doesn't leave much space to secure a cradle safely. I did suggest to the boss that he try a windscreen mounted phone holder, but he doesn't like anything up on the screen whilst driving and says he has to use a bit of force to push the Blackberry into the cradle to get the charger to click into the port on the phone Confusedillyme:

Looking at the two holes underneath the vents (which I assume are for storage), I wondered if it was possible to fit some sort of blanking plate which we could screw a phone holder onto. That way we wouldn't have to go drilling the dash or fitting any double sided tape.

Does anyone know of a blanking plate available to do this? Or even some sort of phone holder that has a base that fits securely into one of those holes?

Thanks in advance!
Andrea

If you search through the posts on here you will find that someone (sorry cannot recall who) has fitted his SatNav using one of those 'holes' The same should do for you.

go to Halfords and buy a tetrax phone fixer. Just a metal disc size of 5 pence, stick to phone, then other part stick to the air vent top nearest driver. Fantastic. My galaxy S3 stays there with no problems, even bumpy roads. And when you take phone off its not a big bit on the back. Well worth it. My sat nav on phone works great when stuck there.

I use the " Wonder Holder " for my phone, which is a cheap option. A few drivers have also used it in various positions in the cab with good results, although it seems they cannot be used with iPhones due to the magnet used http://www.WonderHolder.com

Brodit holders are good. Made specially for your particular phone.

RAM mounts, expensive, but quality are fantastic, use them for everything as they are so versatile
