Fuel Gauge! - Roly - 09-06-2011

I think that I have bought a heap of junk :brickwall:

Just have a ton of work done for PSV
Rear axle mounts replaced
Track-rod end replaced
Bottom ball joint replaced
Nearly every bushen in the front replaced
Two rear wheel cylinders
Rear rubber brake hoses
Master cylinder replaced
New exhaust front to back
Two rear tyres because they were the wrong load rating and that was on top of me replacing the heater matrix with the lose of two litres of blood in the process never mind the the leaking aerial and leaking windscreen washer bottle :censored:

Now the fuel guage has given up the will to live :ill: anyone replaced one or might there be something else I can check before taking the fuel tank out?

At least it should be a good van if it ever passes PSV

Gutted for you Roly, but as you have spent so much this time I'm pretty sure it will be fine for a good few years!
Fingers crossed.

I wouldn't get too despondent. I've replaced the front wishbones (complete), track rod ends and drop links. It's also had an exhaust and clutch. I wouldn't consider that too bad on a 120000 mile 9 year old motor. The heater matrix just seems to be a berlingo 'thing'.

I just cannot believe that people let repairs run on and on. When I sold my 04 Focus it was in perfect condition and needed nothing, the fella that bought it has no idea how lucky he was.
But anyway starting to get on top of all these repairs now so fingers crossed nothing else rears its head lol
