"New" Modutop - Chris__M - 01-02-2014

Hi

I've had a quick search, and can't see anything that addresses this in detail. Apologies if I have missed someting and am going over old stuff.

As mentioned in my other recent thread, I've just picked up a 2013 Berlingo Multispace XTR with a Modutop.

Now although I coveted the Modutop (my old Berlingo didn't have one), I must admit a little trepidation, as I had read about leaky seals.

However, looking at my Berlingo, in comparison with other pictures here and elsewhere, this Modutop is radically different from earlier models. Whereas the earlier Modutop appeared to indeed be a complete module, set in the roof (different colour and everything) and floating on a rubber seal; with my car the 4 glass panes appear to be individually set into an otherwise solid roof, seamless on the outside, and lined with fabric, as usual, on the inside. The storage inside the car is similar to what went before, but with some changes.

All in all, it looks pretty sturdy.

When we get some decent weather, I'll take some pictures, if it is of interest.

A couple of quick pictures of the Modutop, while the sun is shining.
