Lift Bonnet and secure
Loosen R/H side front wheel nuts
Lift front right side of car and secure
Remove front R/H wheel
Remove wheel arch splash shield

Make careful note the route the belt takes around the pulleys!

Belt is tensioned by the upper of the two idler pulleys which is spring loaded (and its a strong spring!).

To release tension, place an open-ended 14mm spanner securely on the pulley nut, then attach a suitable ring spanner to its end to extend it.
Pull down on spanner combination firmly (anti clockwise), the tensioner pulley should swing/rotate releasing tension on the belt (It maybe possible to lodge the spanner while under tension to secure it).
Slip belt from lowest rear pulley (crankshaft) then release tension on tensioner pulley, remove spanner. Fully remove old belt then fit new belt over all but lower rear pulley.
Release tension on the tensioner pulley again (turn anti clockwise again), slip belt over the lower pulley. Release tension pulley and remove spanner.
Carefully check the run of the belt and its lay over the grooved pulleys, especially the alternator pulley, as its quite hidden away.
Replace splash guard then front wheel, lower car, tighten wheel nuts. Start engine, check belt. Close bonnet.

Old belt lasted 100,000 miles and had not failed but starting to shred. New belt is a Gates cost £11 from motor factors.

That's just how I did it. Except I forgot which pulleys it went around and in which order. Took me a while to figure it out!

I think if you can remember that the two small pulleys that sit between the
large pulleys are the only pulleys on the outside of the belt you can't get it wrong.
