Then you have the two character model identifier like "X2" or "MC" or "Y4" (etc etc) Next comes the three character engine short code; common ones are 4HX, KFX, RHY Following is a single character transaxle code which I can't shed much light on. Then you've the last eight characters; my understanding is the first two or four of these offer more detail but I'm not sure quite how; the basic sequence thereafter is numerical progression - eg, 6P229898 is older than 6P229940. |
