With Diagbox/Lexia you can re-learn the throttle valve (gas pedal). Maybe that will help.

Are there any errors in the Engine ECU? The engine is TU5JP4 (1.6 16v)?

Welcome! Pug 405 was a great car! I drove a 309 for 16 year, the smaller version of the 405, but with same engine, the good old 1.9 XUD9. After 450k km time to stop, but the engine running as new:-)

Good work! Most of the time there is also play on the bushes. I buy always new rod's and add some additional grease on the bearing. From factory, it's a very minimum of grease.

There are 2 leading petrol engines: the 1.4 (TU3) en 1.6 (TU5JP4) for MK1 and MK2. Both are very reliable. If you need more power go for the 1.6/16V. Indeed one's in his live (average after 15 years) ...
