So I bit the bullet, bought a Topdon. Once set up and activated,straight forward to use. And.... No more stop/ start, yay!

A bit of an update problem solved. An earthing cable has to be moved approx 6 cm on the gearbox shell ! There is a 2017 technical bulletin describing this issue and fix.
