My understanding is the Bosch system has a fuel supply pump in the fuel tank, but the Siemens system does not, so if you have not fitted one that could be the cause of your problem.

On the 2 litre model it depends which fuel system you have: - Bosch has a suppy pump in the tank - Siemens does not have a suppy pump

I agree, I changed my 2008 1.6 HDI at 11 years & 98,000 mile and the condition of the belt was very good.

I also found keeping my pressures on the high side improved the uneven wear issue, 1-2 psi higher in the front & because I regularly carry loads in the back I keep the rears at about 45psi. Tony

I had this problem,  what I think is happening is rust builds up behind the sensor which stops it working as it moves the sensor away from the ring, this causes the ABS to activate and  the ABS valves...

There are 2 filters as the access cover is only bigger enough to slide in a half size filter. The first filter slides in & drops down then the second filter slides in & sits on top of the firs...

That pipe sounds like the drain pipe from the diesel filter, which does just hang down.
