How to remove centre console
#1
Question
Hey guys,

The centre console plastic on my 2006 van is looking really tatty and scratched so just picked up a sheet of carbon fibre vinyl to stick on it to restore it.

But I was wondering if there's a certain way of pulling off the centre console panels before I start picking it off and breaking it apart?

I'll take each individual piece and apply the cut vinyl with a hairdryer and re attach. Would appreciate any advice here too.

Thanks! Smile

I fitted something very similar to this which I got from eBay on my Mk2.

the 'centre concole' officially is the handbrake and gear leaver cover on the floor, but i assume you mean the central column thing where the radio and heater controls are?

pretty sure there is something somewhere about how to do it, you need to remove the multifunction display (clock/date displa) surround, then there are 2 screws under neath to remove the top section, then think you need to remove the stereo to get to the rest....
