All you need is a trip to a VW garage...
(The VW 1.6 is tweaked all the way up to 105bhp on some models... And yeah, that worked well... )
That is a risk you take if you get it tweaked; that it'll pollute like Germany's finest, and fail the MOT.

The latest van version come in 75, 90 and 120bhp. The 120bhp is only available with the Automatic box. Same as the set up in the C4 Picasso I assume? The MPG return on the 75 and 90 is the same in the book and only slightly different on the 120. 131g/km on the 75 and 133g/I'm on the 90. For me that 0-60 difference was what made me go for the 90. Something that would give me a lot more confidence pulling out in dual carriageways.

So if I were to buy a 75 bhp vehicle and wanted to " convert " it to 90 bhp .....
What would I need / how much does it cost / can I do it myself with Diagbox ? Is it easy enough ? anyone done this ?
Very interested as I know of a decent 75 for sale so not just idle chat.

I really wouldn't know. Maybe the 90 is a detuned 120. Possibly the turbo is the same but the 75 is different.
It would be interesting to know though.
The 90 sits best at about 2200 rpm doing around 60mph. It's there where you can comfortably pull out and before you know it, you're potentially breaking the speed limit. But of course, I sit at sixty all the time with the cruise control on ;-)
