I intend to change my front brake discs and pads this weekend (weather permitting) - there seems to be some good information on the forum to help which I will try to add to with all the mistakes I'm certain to make along the way.
I was considering using axle stands (because I have a pair) - can anyone confirm where these should be located to take the weight of the Berlingo safely?
Thanks

Hi
for safety you should use your stands,
If you place them under the suspension arms it will restrict the wheel movement, you know, swinging the wheels to and fro to hard lock to get into the discs and pads, also a possibility of slipping out. It helps if the wheels/hubs are hanging in mid air free of obstructions. Put them behind the engine, under the chassis where it appears from the engine bay area, not too close together and not too far back or you will end up with a see sawing Berlingo.
You could also position the stands under the hard points built into the lower sills for the car jack if you are sure the place you have selected is the hard point.
Make sure when lowering the car onto the stands that they do not slip out and go up through your floor.
Once you've done it you'll see how easy and simple it is.
