I've been considering fitting some 18" alloys to my mk3 berlingo hdi 75bhp van but wondered how much effect the 18"s fitted with 225/40/18's would have on the economy? Also would it totally bugger the ride up?

im running 18s in the summer, the ride is fine, the steering much sharper. im losing around 3mpg but that could also to be the tyres, continentals in the winter and cheaper primewells in the summer
