Be very careful to wipe off all oil residue on both the sump pan and the edge it mates to. Any oil there can make the silicone or whatever sealant fail to seal properly.

The 1.6 hdi doesn't have a gasket, I remove plenty of them and never really have a problem . I just seal,them up with RTV silicone. Maybe he distorted the sump when he first removed it, they take some...

Hello caleua welcome to the forum as ron said the prime suspect is oil pressure switch one other thing have you checked the oil level on the dipstick ??:rolleyes:

Start simple & change the cheapest part 1st,the oil press switch.If there is no improvement,have the pressure checked by a garage you trust.Unless it's done intergalactic miles,bad maintenance is ...
