Full Version: Interior roof rack(?)

Hi all,

I have a 59 VTR and inside at the rear near the ceiling is a flappy fronted cubby hole with a keyhole type slot behind it either side of the car.

I'm aware that these are used for the interior roof rack thingy and am sure that there are two more of the same near the front to take the rails also.

My question is why do I only have the rear set? Are they for something else like a dog guard?

Confused from Kent.
The XTR had the interior rails. The rear holes can also fit the load net/dog guard. This was standard with the earlier XTRs. If you want one you could get one from Citroen parts. I often use mine, the bottom clips hook onto the load rings in floor & the straps are tightened up.
If you have a modutop you only get the rear one's as the rail's will not fit across the front so they don't put hole's in but the key mite still be behind the roof panel
It's not a modutop, so I was right to think it was for a dog guard.

Many thanks guys.
