I know the Berlingo can fit 306 seats with a bit of cutting, but my question is has anybody tried using the seat rails from a 306? I feel like the seating position is too high for my personal taste (coming from a 206 GTi). If the front end is based on the 306 you should still be able to see out the windscreen.

Also if I'm stuck with the high seats I like the storage area under the passenger seat. Is there a way to get the driver seat to fold down the same way? Maybe using the passenger seat from a continental model?
The chassis is not all 306, whoever posted the wiki is not quite correct, for example the rear beam is 405, not 306, front struts and bottom arms are very similar, the bonnet and dash are much higher than a 306, so bolting them in to the floor would result in not being able to see over the dash

You could also fit a left hand drive passenger seat but you then can't move it back and forth if it's too far away from the dash/steering wheel

Thanks for the info. I might look at getting just the seat mount shipped over (I'm in Australia so it's a long way from France Tongue). The passenger seat itself is symmetrical so I should be able to use one from a RHD model. I'm converting it to electric anyway so putting the pedal box on an adjustable mount shouldn't be too difficult.

The main reason I want to do this is to have a bed that folds down over both front seats. Then there's more room for cabinets at the back of the van.
