You'll have strong calf muscles... well in the right leg at least!
I have done a sensible thing & booked it in for a check-up at my usual garage. Hope it gets the thumbs up... Then I have to make them an offer... hate doing stuff like that!

Thanks, this could definitely be the case, I have an automatic Micra that is like a toy car to drive- so the contrast will be great. My Dad had a drive too, he felt the same & has driven a lot of different vehicles. It was ok once you'd got it there, I just wondered whether i'd end up cursing it on long journeys. I do reckon i'd get used to it.

My first Berlingo was a 1998 1.9D van, it had quite a stiff pedal as did my Xantia and ZX diesels. I actually found it better on long journeys - and my van did 55,000 in it's first year of life , as you could just rest your foot on the pedal rather once it was in position rather than have to "balance" your foot like you do on some cars with light pedals. Having said that, my van was usually driven with the pedal flat to the floor anyway.. and also, I am guessing that ThoraB, you are not 6'1 and 15 stone with size 11 feet... :-)

Cheers, you've hit the nail on the head there Mike. Tall yes but... size 3 feet! It's those pesky laws of leverage! Confusedillyme: Mechanic looks at it today, I'm trying to be laid back about it but will be quite gutted if it's a no. In the meantime I'd best look online for a pair of weighted clown-shoes Big Grin
Hey all, you may have seen the new thread I posted- now I know why it was flippin' heavy... the accelerator cable had seized (among a few other things...!) Ongoing! Rolleyes
