Hi,

I have just collected my brand new Berlingo Flair XTR and I'm trying to understand the USB connections.  I appear to only have one; found in the corner of the touch screen.

In other models in dealerships there was a second USB in the Glovebox - mine just has a blank; the manual says there should be one at the back of the centre console, but there isn't one (no blank, I'm not sure there is space)

So the question is:  Can I knock out the glovebox blank and fit a second socket (and maybe AUX Jack).  It looks like removing the glovebox would be easy; but what part would I get, and where would it connect?

Second question, assuming the first is 'yes', is it possible to swap the functions of the 2 USB's over?  I would really like my iPhone connected for CarPlay via a concealed cable, which the USB in the screen doesn't lend itself to.

Many thanks!

Ben.
I’d also like to know this - I was surprised to find a blank in the glove box too..!

afraid the one in the glovebox doesn't work for carplay - i am not even sure what it works for as i cant even charge a phone off of mine.

It does charge my earpiece tho. It's also good for MP3 music:
Has anyone found a solution for this glovebox aux/usb socket ?
On a Fakra connector, which the Berlingo stereo uses, there are pins for cd changer in and other stuff, I expect you can buy an aftermarket cable that plugs into the rear of the Fakra and adds a usb input, if you don't already have one usb plus one aux, as there is only a selection in the head unit for usb / aux / phone / radio / cd and adding an extra input would either have to pretend it was one of these or act as if it was a changer (like the connects2 adaptors for BTZ do) so you could use it.

Citroen actually say not to plug a device into the usb and aux at the same time but not sure how the double usb copes, I only have one usb too.

EDIT: found the Citroen quadlock Fakra pinout, see aux 2 etc:

Here is a commercial add on as I described above, with usb and other inputs:

Thanks , really useful info.

One other question; do you know of any guides/videos that show how to remove the stereo (and get at the ports)?  I had a quick go, but chickened out of using too much force!

Many thanks!
