Is the owner of the V6 conversion on the Forum? I have a few questions for him.

No, he was never on here - only on the I.C.E. where the link takes you

Love the banded steelies. I am going to send mine off to get done soon. I have a MK3 and my steelies are 6.5J ET28 16". I could go for another inch easily. I'm not after the euro look just more chunky 4x4 as i have chunky M+S tyres. My question is when i send them of to be banded do i ask for an extra inch? I'm not sure where they add the banding and want the extra inch to be poke if that makes any sense.

You need to measure to be sure and you will most likely need to do arch rolling to be worth it. You can always have them poke out of the arches a little. We had similar discussion not long ago here http://www.berlingoforum.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=10062
Maybe it will help you somehow on your Mk3

They definately weren't banded unless someone did em when I was away from the workshop, they are definately 7x16 et12 steelies (offset from memory) and they wore 205/45r16 uni royal rainsport 2 tyres that stuck exceptionally well in all weathers, it also did a 14.5 second quarter down santa pod and 0-60 approx 6 seconds ?
