I have a 2015 B9 (1.6 HDi) with 14k km on it. I got it just a few weeks ago and love it, except the fact that it doesnt get stable heat to the coupe. I have a retrofitted webasto thermo top 5 (5kw that is) and using it cold days gets the engine temperature up to around 70+ c (depending on how long the webasto has been running and outside temperature). It doesnt matter if I keep running it or not, I dont get alot of heat from the heater. It doesnt matter if I drive in city or high speed. The temperature gauge is fluctuating around 55-85 and sometimes almost 90. At almost 90 I have to turn down the heat. At 55 it almost feels like its cold air comming out of the vents.
So, the retro fitted webasto warmer is working great. Do I need to replace the thermostat, perhaps?
