Hi ya'll just a very small mod to my mk2 van, generic ebay 'silvertec' indicator bulbs, get's rid of that orange tinge to the headlights. Very subtle & hardly noticable really but cleans the front end up a little imo. Let me know what you think Confusedalut:

If you like it, that's all that matters.

Myself, I think it's an idiotic, dangerous, selfish and a total and utter waste of the planets natural resources that chances are after a few months would (when tested correctly) fail a MOT.

People buying silly things keeps many people in employment and prolongs our capitalist way of life..........
Many - if not most - people in first world countries enjoy circumstances beyond what they "need" to carry on.

Wow someone has issues....
I see you misunderstand what these bulbs are... They still flash orange, in fact slightly brighter than the standard bulbs, they also outlast the standard bulbs as the orange coating does not 'peel' off causing them to flash very pale/white. These will & have passed several mot's on previous vehicles. A lot of higher end vehicles leave the factory with these bulbs these days as they are mildly better looking as I said loosing the 'fried egg' appearance when not in use as-well as the prolonged life span.
I fail to see what is dangerous/selfish about this???

Your ignorance of the bulbs and ability to recognise sales crap is noted.
FACT1: Many of the cheap Chinese silver/chrome bulbs do NOT conform to UK and EU road traffic regulations.
FACT2: They degrade far quicker.
FACT3: They are not brighter.
FACT4: Depending on quality, some WILL flash 'white' within a few weeks of use.
FACT5: You could be held responsible for any death or injury due to nonconformance.
And so on.....................................

Has another world been discovered?
If it flashes and it's orange there is nothing wrong with it, how can a bulb not conform if it fills the above criteria ? Blue headlights and all the other crap I can understand anyone criticising but an indicator bulb ? Lighten up, OP likes the look and I agree it does tidy it up but I don't really care if the old bulb is orange if I only pay 30p for a new one Big Grin
