If I were to replace the rear silencer with a piece of pipe, I believe its called non resonated? Will this void the warranty I have with Citroen does anybody know?
Seriously, why would you? If you want a meatier sound, replace the centre muffler (a resonator), if you want louder still fillet the cat open and install a straight pipe inside before welding it up again.

There should be no legally enforceable impact on warranty unless you claim against a fault related to the rear exhaust section. The fine print usually tries to say otherwise but consumer law usually will override it.
It will still sound like a diesel and probably not perform as well, just drive it.
What is it you are trying to achieve is it boy racer noise, more power, both of these or something else ?

Your 1.6 Hdi will never be anything like your 212 BHP Clio ........
I was under the impression, it would be less restrictive, so it would be more responsive? I found a crowd in Portugal who do a 200bhp turbo kit for 1.6 HDi engines... Not expensive either.
Here's something about back pressure, pipe diameter and engine performance;

Also, driving around without a rear exhaust tends to annoy the neighbours...
cut it off lol i did that with twin exit pipes and sounds mint haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Fz53W_lm2A bad video but

the silencer does not affect the back pressure just the cat does

the simple question to that is why? just because we want it abit louder doesnt mean to say we want something with more hp? the simple matter is that its his van he can do wat he wants to it
